Mahatma Gandhi gave an excellent message to the nation by providing education about maintaining cleanliness to the people around him. He dreamed of a “Clean India” for which he wanted all the citizens of India to work together to make the country clean. To fulfill Mahatma Gandhi's dream of a clean India, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji launched the Clean India Campaign on 2 October 2014 and appealed to all the citizens of India to join this campaign for its successful implementation.
The aim of this campaign is to achieve the goal of clean India in the next five years so that Bapu's 150th birth anniversary can be celebrated as the achievement of this goal. Swachh Bharat Abhiyan motivates people to donate 100 hours of labour every year towards cleanliness. Nine eminent personalities like Mridula Sinha, Sachin Tendulkar, Baba Ramdev, Shashi Tharoor, Anil Ambani, Kamal Hassan, Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra and the team of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma were invited by the Hon'ble Prime Minister to also contribute to the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, share pictures on social media and add nine other people to it so that it becomes a chain. The general public was also asked to share their contribution by writing the hashtag #MyCleanIndia on social media.
All the members of Sanatan Raksha Dal contribute fully in the cleanliness campaign and also encourage other people so that the country remains clean.
